Volunteer for the Trust

Watford Football Club's Community Sports and Education Trust are always looking for people to help us to continue to make a positive difference in our local communities. If you think you can offer support in anyway, no matter how great or small, please contact Derrick Williams, details to the right of this section.

Current Opportunities;

 

Exercise Buddies required – (Application form to the right of this section)

 

Do you enjoy keeping fit and healthy? Are you good with people? Would you like to encourage others to become more active?

If so then please get in touch by completing our Volunteer Application Form

The role may include any of the following activities:

  • Befriending and motivating inactive people
  • “Meeting and greeting” at physical activity sessions, with the possibility of joining in yourself
  • Accompanying people when travelling to and from their activity sessions
  • Being a positive role model and providing positive reinforcement on people’s progress.

 

Role commitments

A minimum of one hour per week but more if possible.

Monday 10.00am – 12.00am

Meridan Community Centre, Watford

Monday (Tai Chi) – 12.30pm  - 13.30pm

Cassiobury Park Health Walks

Wednesday 11.00am – 12.00am

Volunteer Admin Support helpers

Would you like to be part of a Guinness World Record attempt at Walking Football mass participation?

If so:

We need admin support volunteers to help us plan and deliver this unique World Record breaking attempt in the following areas

  • Help in planning the event
  • Help in promoting the event
  • Help in registering participants
  • Help in finding patrons and event supporters
  • Help on the day

The event will take place on Saturday 2 September 2017 at the Meriden Community Centre, Watford.

We are looking to set up an informal event committee of volunteers to support our busy team at Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education Trust. If you volunteer you will still be able to take part on the day.

Shape Up project – Application form to the right of this section

Looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help motivate and supervise the management of the Shape Up weight management course.

Are you fit and healthy, interested in physical activity or do you have experience of working in a health and fitness environment?  If so then please get in touch by completing the Volunteer Application Form.

Role commitments

90 minutes per session, once a week over 12 consecutive weeks.

Location

Watford –Vicarage road stadium – Wednesday evenings – 7pm

Potters Bar Wednesday evenings – 19.30pm

Hoddesdon - Monday evenings – 19.30pm

Welwyn Garden City - Wednesday evenings -19.30pm

As this is a male only course in this particular instance we are looking for male volunteers.

Walking Football projects – Application form to the right of this section

Looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help organise and support the smooth running of our Walking Football courses.

Are you a qualified FA Level 1/2 football coach or are you are superb administrator and good at admin and organising games/players? If so we would love to hear from you, so please get in touch.

Role commitments

90 minutes per session, once a week on a rolling programme.

Meriden Community Centre, Watford – Monday evenings – 20.00pm

Cavendish School, Hemel Hempstead – Wednesday evenings -20.00pm

Looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to help produce a number of graphics to aid the promotion of Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust’s work in the community.  This is opportunity to help a registered charity showcase the impact of its programmes on people's lives whilst developing your own skills to aid your portfolio.
