The annual matchday package special delivered by Watford Football Club’s Community Sports and Education Trust is set for Sunday 15th December 2024. With two time slots available, hundreds of young footballers will come together for a coaching session in the Dome at the training base of Watford FC’s first teams. Highly qualified Trust staff will lead these sessions, and new for this year, the 90-minute session will also include an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, where participants will get the chance to experience parts of the training ground that only Watford FC players see. Fittingly with the season, throughout players’ time at the training ground, Trust staff and volunteers will be on hand to supply onlooking parents and guardians with mince pies and hot drinks, with a tuck shop open to purchase further snacks and refreshments. Bringing that extra bit of festive buzz, there will be small gifts for the players.

With the first half completed, players will then make their own way to Vicarage Road Stadium for the second half of this experience to begin – Watford versus West Bromwich Albion in the Championship – those purchasing for Train Like A Pro are given tickets to the big match for the player and their supervising adult.

• WHEN: Sunday 15th December. Bookable training ground sessions are either 9am-10.30am or 11am-12.30pm. Watford Vs West Brom matchday kick-off is 2pm.

• COST: £60 per participant (inclusive of player and supervising adult)

Terms and conditions

This event is for grassroots teams and community groups.  All group places must be booked and paid through a single person as group organiser, who will be the key point of contact for the event and responsible for the group on the day. Please note: This event is not for individual participants and is for group bookings only.

1. Transport from the training ground to stadium is not provided and customers will be required to make their own way from London Colney to Watford.
2. Group booking must be for a minimum of 10 participants.
3. Due to the scale of the event, we cannot guarantee that whole groups will be sat together in the stadium for the match.
4. Sessions will take place in the indoor dome at the Training Ground, Bell Lane, London Colney, AL2 1BZ.
5. Adults are asked to ensure that participants are dressed appropriately for the conditions, bring plenty of water and must wear shin pads and football boots. Please note metal studs cannot be worn in the dome
6. Parking is available on site at the Training Ground, but spaces are limited. Car sharing is requested wherever possible.
7. Only the participant and the associated supervising adult can enter the training ground. No additional spectators are permitted.
