A curriculum based programme aimed at young people aged 11-25 who are marginalised or at risk of not fulfilling their potential. Available free to all secondary schools or educational establishments. The programme runs across the academic year with a mixture of stadium based events, timetabled sessions, 1:1 support meetings and social action volunteering. The programme focuses on improving confidence, developing skills, gaining knowledge and creating a positive attitude. The programme can be adapted and tailored to the needs, abilities and outcomes of the young people.

Goal: To inspire children and young people to develop the personal skills and positive attitudes to succeed in life.

The programme is delivered within an education setting weekly across two terms with the potential for young people to undertake some social action work during the Summer term. Schools can select up to twelve young people all of whom have at least one primary risk factor to take part in the programme. Schools are required to allocate one-hour weekly slot where Trust staff can attend the school and deliver workshops. Starting with a launch day at the stadium, students then undertake eight sessions looking at Behind the turnstiles, followed by eight sessions on Off the pitch skills. With a further option to put the skills developed into practice and undertake social action work across the Summer term with the support of Trust delivery staff.

The Premier League Inspires programme is available to any secondary school or educational establishment. The programme is suitable for any young people aged 11-25 who have at least one primary risk factor in accordance to the risk factor guidelines below. As well as any additional risk factors present in the guidelines. The suitability of a young person can be discussed further with Watford FC CSE Trust.
The programme can be tailored to meet any additional needs or special educational needs. This can be discussed further with Watford FC CSE Trust to ensure the needs and requirements are met.

Schools have the option for young people to undertake the Princes Trust Achieve programme and be awarded a Level 1 Personal Development and Employability Skills. This award will take one academic year to complete and follow the same structure with some catch sessions in the summer term if required. This will be part funded by Watford FC CSE Trust at 50% with the other 50% being attributed to the school. This will be £8.25 per student for schools to include a certificate for completion. All work and marking attributed to this qualification will be undertaken by the Community Project Officer (Young people). This can be further discussed with the Community Project Officer (Young people).

If you would like to register your school or gain further information on the Premier League Inspires programme please contact Lucy Tearle, Community Project Officer (Young people).
