National Volunteer Week

1st June – 7th June

Watford Football Club's Community Sports and Education Trust is participating in this year’s Volunteers’ Week. Volunteers week is an annual celebration that takes places from the 1st - 7th June, with the aim of celebrating the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.

Volunteering and Quality Assurance Officer Derrick Williams spoke about the importance of the volunteers, “Volunteering plays an important part in the success of the Trusts activities and we are fortunate to have some wonderful support in this area. We are pleased to recognise our volunteers during National Volunteering Week and we have produced a special Thank You certificate in recognition of their fantastic support.”

The trust would therefore like to recognise and thank its hard-working volunteers for their commitment towards the community. The following list of names will receive a “Thank You for Volunteering 2017” certificate this week:

Alec Kelly and Peter Seldon, who volunteer at the Whitmore scheme.

Chey Thompson, who is a coach at Cedars.

Joe Clancy, Alex Norris and Stephen Bunting who help with coaching at Meriden.

Sarah Ferguson and Tim Maynard, who volunteer for the Active Herts programme at both Meriden and Cedars.

Steph Parrack, Jack Farmer and Mithunahan Jeyaharan who are all volunteers on the NCS programme.
