Cedars Youth & Community Centre is managed by Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education Trust (the Trust). In 2008 the Trust and Harrow Council jointly applied to the Department for Education’s MyPlace Fund and successfully secured £4.2 million to regenerate the old Cedars Youth Centre in to a youth and community facility. The creation of Cedars Youth & Community Centre is testament to the hard work undertaken by young people, local residents and staff from both the Trust and Harrow Council to realise a joint vision of providing a safe, secure and positive environment for all members of the community. The centre was opened in May 2012 by Graham Taylor OBE, Tim Loughton MP and the Mayor of Harrow Cllr Nazim Ismail.
The centre has state of the art facilities including an outdoor 4G Astroturf pitch, an indoor sports hall, a social space, a community gym and much more. To add to the facilities the Trust delivers a wide range of programmes which cater for all members of the community – read more about these programmes in the what’s on guide. The centre is extremely environmentally friendly with a solar wall, green roofs and rainwater harvesting, in addition to these features the centre operates a green travel plan.
In 2019 the centre unveiled a £930,000 extension to the building, courtesy of funding from Football Foundation, London Marathon Charitable Trust and Bernard Sunley Foundation. This extension has created a base for local charity Harrow Mencap, as well as the Graham Taylor boardroom.

Impact
The Trust has been delivering programmes in Harrow for over 13 years now and has been managing its Myplace Cedars Youth & Community Centre since 2012.
The range of programmes now on offer has increased immeasurably to include education, health, inclusion, dance and sport, as well as offering space for hire at the centre. With that increase there has also been an increase in the positive difference the team at Cedars YCC are making every day.

There are Bus Stops within reach of the Centre. These are located on Uxbridge Road (182 service) and Courteney Avenue (H18 service).
Rail
Headstone Lane station is located around 1km from the Centre (15-minute walk). This station has regular services throughout the day provided by the London Underground route between Euston and Watford Junction, via Wembley Central and Harrow & Wealdstone.
Underground
The nearest underground station is Harrow & Wealdstone (Bakerloo Line), this is located around 2.5km from the Centre (30-minute walk).
Car
Limited parking is available at the Centre if required.
Cycling
There are designated cycle parking areas at the front of the Centre. We are able to provide a lock on request to secure your bicycle.
