Premier League Kicks – Youth Engagement Officer 

Salary: £25,000 per annum, fixed term contract to 31.08.2022

Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education Trust currently has a vacancy for a Youth Engagement Officer as part of a new and exciting project funded through the Premier League Charitable Fund, in partnership with BBC Children in Need. This post offers an opportunity to be part of a charity that uses sport, physical activity and learning as tools for social good.
 
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and passionate individual with a proven track record of working with marginalized groups of young people aged 12-16 years, and supporting them to reach their full potential.  Some of these young people may have complex challenges in their lives and may be on the cusp of school expulsion or criminal activity.   The Officer will be based at our community hub in Harrow and will develop a youth offer by working closely with a range of partners, including the Met Police, Harrow Council’s Youth Offending Team, secondary schools, as well as parents and carers.  The Officer will also be expected to closely monitor and evaluate the impact and outcomes achieved throughout the duration of the project.  
 
The role will also include working on matchday activities and seasonal events run by the Trust, as and when required.
 
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:
 
• A minimum two year record of working with hard to engage young people in a range of settings. 
• Level 3 Youth Support Worker qualification or Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work Practice.
• Success in building relationships and working collaboratively with a range of partners. 
• Ability to plan and organize effectively, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. 
• Ability to contribute towards internal and external evaluation processes. 
• Proficient IT skills.  
• Experience of working with budgets.
• A passion to make a difference through mentoring and training.
• A full and valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use.

Premier League Kicks Project Officer 

Salary: £18,000 - £24,000, fixed term contract - 2.5 years

This position presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team, based across both community hubs in Watford and Harrow.
 
We are looking to recruit a full-time (40 hours per week) Project Officer who will be responsible for assisting on the management, coordination and delivery of the Trust’s Premier League Kicks programme.  The Officer will work closely with the PL Kicks Manager, as well as a range of partners to further develop our offer, as well as monitor and evaluate the impact and outcomes achieved. The role involves managing sessional staff and volunteers to ensure that the services offered are of the highest quality and provide opportunities which inspire, motivate and empower young people to realise their potential.  The Officer will also be expected to support and develop new inclusion based initiatives for the Trust. 
 
The role will include working on matchday activities and seasonal events run by the Trust, as and when required.
 
The ideal candidate will have:
 
• A proven track record of working on football/sports based youth diversionary projects, including experience of working with hard to engage young people in a range of settings. 
• Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football.
• Experience of managing or supervising staff/volunteers. 
• Proficient IT skills.  
• Experience of project management and working with budgets.
• A passion to make a difference through sport and education.
• A full and valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use.

Shape Up Coach (Weight Management Programme)

 
Sessional Rate: £30 (Evening Availability Essential)
 
Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust (registered charity no: 1102239) is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to this sessional role.
 
The key responsibility of the role will be to assist the running of each session delivering a Weight Management Programme to adults aged 18 to 65 years of age (25 per group). The weekly programme includes a 30 minute lifestyle education session followed by a 60 minute physical exercise session. The programme will consist of 12 weekly sessions and the courses run back to back year round.

Responsibilities:

Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust deliver over 200 hours of coaching sessions and community activity across a wide range of educational, fun and engaging sport based programmes per week and we are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative and committed sport coaches to join our team to help support this delivery across Hertfordshire and Harrow. We are looking for seasonal staff to work on our half term, evening and weekend sports sessions, the successful candidate must be flexible, approachable and enjoy organising and leading sport sessions for a variety of young people.

The types of sport sessions you will work on include:

• Football holiday course’s (half terms & summer holidays)

• Matchday Packages (weekends)

• Football player development centres (evenings)

• After school sport sessions (late afternoons)

The ideal candidate will have:

• FA Level 1 (or above) in Football Coaching

• FA Safeguarding 

• FA First Aid
